    Good

it was convenient to walk to the city centre areas and the musuem.

since it was a newly renovated hotel the staff were trying their best to give us the comfort and facility, but i must say that they should be a little more organised and any excuses would not be acceptable.the staff were friendly and if they work as a team will make a very good hotel .the breakfast and the area should be better as i expected a little more varities

    Very good

Location was excellent. However when we arrived at the airport our courier informed us we would have to go to an alternative hotel, as he said there was a problem with the electricity at our chosen hotel. We were told not to worry as the alternative hotel was on a par with the chosen residence, this most definitely was not the case. We were taken to the Pharoahs Palace Hotel, which could only be described as the pits of hell. The following morning we were told we could go to our chosen hotel at 12.00, which clearly indicated our chosen hotel had in fact been overbooked. After haggling for 2hours we were eventually taken to our chosen hotel. I must say after being told the Pharoahs Palace was of equal standing I was filled with intrepidation

I did not like being taken for a fool over the overbooking. I felt we were pushed to take trips before we settled in, hence paying through the nose for transport which was readily available on every street corner.

    Exceptional

The staff were helpful and honest in their dealings. For a new Hotel in Downtown Cairo, they made every effort to meet the needs of their clientele. They stored quite a bit of our luggage without charge for over 1 wk., arranged a taxi escort to the pyramids for a reasonable price, and were generally helpful when seeking out information. Close to the Cairo Museum and other down town life. Soft comfortable beds. Thanks

The lobby at ground level could use a bit of a face life and I'm sure they will over time as revenue comes in. Elevators could use a bit of an upgrade to get them working better.

The Hotel itself is clean, but when u enter the bldg you would think twice, but i can tell you that all the hotel in downtown cairo are all in the old bldg... if ur low budget and you want to stay in a clean and at the same time comfort to stay better check in here.

Near to the city centre (downtown). it is about 2 mins to Egyptian Museum by walking, staff is nice.

It is hard to find the entrance of the hotel and you have to ask as there is no hotel name on that building.Room is not furnished well.

The staff were friendly and helpful, air-conditioning was working perfectly, which is very much appreciated. The place has been recently refurbished, so the things are new (to the point that the stickers have not been removed from the lamps, etc.). The location is very good, very close to the Egyptian Museum, and the Downtown main streets and squares are within walking distance. We chose it because of the price and location and overall we are happy with this choice.

The hotel is on the 6th floor of a building whose entrance and staircase look like from a horror movie. The staircase is very dirty, paint falls off the walls, etc. The lift is from the 20s or 30s & it does not stop on the 6th floor (at which the hotel is), so you need to go one above or one below and then walk. Cleanliness is an area for improvement. You can see that the staff do try, but the local standards are lower than the Western ones. Window panes were dirty, the newly tiled floors may have been swept but not washed. Or maybe were but with dirty water. Also, there were no shower curtains, so each time you take a shower you flood most of the bathroom. There were no hangers for towels / clothes either.

The worst stay i had ever.Never imagine to stay to this hotel, not recommended.Hotel is located in the sixth level of a very old building in a dirty and busy area in the centre of Cairo.Their rooms was very dirty(noone cleaned them up for many many days),very small and old fashioned.Hairs from previous guests were all over the room.Ants were on our bed. They did not have paper for the toilet and toilet was very very dirty.Hotel owner tried to proposed us some trips in cairo because we had to stay only one night. As we understood later his prices were very expensive for Egypt. The guide driver for Giza trip came after 45 minutes from the time we had arranged. Its breakfast was really unhealthy and poor.Surely, this was our worst night of our lives

Air conditioning in the room was very important, bed and tv were good. There is a nice living with a nice refreshing balcony

I arrived in the afternoon and there was no water till late evening. The room was dusty and the bathroom very very dirty, I save you from details but it was really disgusting. The elevator is definitely dangerous.

    Superb

The location was perfect--right in the middle of the city, very easy to walk to lots of destinations, next door the the Museum, the Cairo Tower, the Opera House, Parks and downtown, and a short cab ride for the rest. The A/C was cold, the showers were hot, and the beds were very comfortable. Staff was friendly and spoke great English.

    No diet cokes, offered!

    Fabulous

This is the old Anglo Swiss hotel and has been effectively and not un pleasantly re-furbished. It is superclean, and a complete difference from anyone who has stayed at the Anglo Swiss. It was literally only just open and we could smell the paint. The beds are supercomfortable and spanking new. The sheets are absolutely pristine, and their laundry is superb. The staff are friendly and helpful. But most important for Egypt: they leave you alone if needed. The hotel has a nice common breakfast area. Wireless is promised. The location is superb. But this is the equivalent to a good European 1 to 2 star. Hotel.

The wireless was not up and running, but it was promised that this would be within a week. The staff had Mobinil sticks that they handed out. So no worried there. The breakfasts were small (jam butter cheese cube and bread) and not open buffet, but the staff and owners gave you as much as you wanted if you asked for it. They promise me that this will change. Just bear in mind that this hotel re-opened in May and that it will take time to "bed in".

The location was excellent. The hotel rooms have undergone some renovation so the airconditioning was very good and the bed linen was new

It was infested with mosquitos and the staff considered this normal and acceptable. Few of the listed facitlities existed; there was no wi fi, no bar or restaurant, no child facilities, no allergy free room. The photos shown on the website did not bear any resemblance to the 3 rooms we were in. The hotel is on the 7th floor; there are 2 ancient lifts one of which didn't work the other had to be stopped manually be opening the lift doors as you passed the 7th floor otherwise it continued to the 8th floor which is a building site with no way down. The buffet breakfast was a piece of 2 rolls with a boiled egg, packet of cheese and a packet of jam eaten on your knees since ther were no tables.
